Opposition And Blessings

On Wednesday, we had interviews with our mission president, President Perry. Those went really well. A member of our ward left doughnuts and milk for all the missionaries. Later that day, we went around Elizabeth City and talked to a lot of businesses about if they have public bulletin boards that we could utilize. Unfortunately, we were unable to find anyone that would. On Thursday, we did a lot of walking around in and around the main city and were able to talk to quite a few people. On Friday, we filled the baptismal font at our church building while we did our weekly planning. We the went out for lunch at the new Chick-Fil-A that was just built in town. After that we went to a baptism for the Currituck Branch, which went very well. I was able to catch-up with some of the members and support the guy getting baptized, as I was part of the teaching process at one point. After that, we helped one of our recent converts paint a railing at his house. Later that night, we heard the bad news that some other missionaries in our district got in an accident. They are just fine, but their car is going to be in the shop for a while. On Saturday, we helped one of our investigators move to a new house in Elizabeth City. That went really well. We invited his girlfriend to visit mormon.org. They then insisted on sending us home with some really good pizza from Papa Johns. That night we attended our wards Trunk R Treat activity. We got hotdogs, cupcakes and candy. On Sunday night we got transfer calls. I am staying in Elizabeth City. Elder Wood is moving to Paquoson. My new companion will be Elder Herron (if I am spelling that right), who is currently companions with the elder I was companions with at the Missionary Training Center. We are spending today (Monday) with the elders from Currituck. In general, this week has been good. We did have 12 appointments fall through, but thats alright. The most opposition happens just before the greatest blessings. Obviously something good is on its way. I am excited to see just what it is. I hope you all have a great week!
