Parades!

This week has been good. Early on in the week, I began a diet, which has been going well so far. I am planning to end my mission how I started it. The nature of a mission is that missionaries get fed a lot. I hope to successfully fight against that nature for my last 4 and 1/2 months. As for the events of the week, on Tuesday, me and my companion attended a family history basics class at the library that was put on by one of the members of our ward. It was helpful. On Wednesday, we had a district meeting down on the Outer Banks. That was excellent. After the meeting, I shared a pine-nanny cake with everyone in the district. Thursday was our monthly car-fast, so after doing some minor cleaning in our apartment, we walked around the city and talked with a few people. Also that day, I received a package from home. In stopping by one of our members that is really into family history (the same that put on the previously mentioned class), we got some family history work that she did for one of our investigators and some work she did for my companion. On Friday, our members supplied us with tickets for two different fundraiser meals and a homemade pecan pie. Later that day, we found that one of our new investigators has become disinterested. Its sad, but we will be having a baptism coming up soon. That same day, we did some service for one of our recent converts. On Saturday, we went to a parade and tried finding people there. We passed out at least 50 pass-along cards, but didn't find any immediate success. The week for me went pretty well in general. I hope you all have a great week!
