The Wonders of Service!

Last Monday, among our usual preparation-day endeavors, we got milkshakes from a place called Cookout (which, I believe I have talked about before). I think the strawberry cheesecake shake that I got was about the best I have had to this point. On Tuesday, we tried some fresh pecans from a tree by our recent converts house. The first one I had was very bitter and unpleasant to eat. The second was really sweet and tasty. Our recent convert is doing really well though, aside from her struggles to find employment. On Wednesday, we helped out one of our members with moving some things in his house. He then sent us home with 8 crabs. We ate half of them for lunch that day. After that we helped another member with a project where he is putting a roof over his side porch/patio thing. Between Wednesday and Thursday that project has made good progress. The roof is up and covered with tin, but there is still some painting, and other minor work to be done. On Friday, we had an excellent Zone Meeting at our chapel. After that we went out with our District Leader for lunch. After that we went to an investigators house and I worked on some problems with one of their kids computers has been having. Later that night, in our travels, drove through some drunk-driving sting that I am told happens often around here. Until then, I had never had such happen to me. I guess its a good thing I don't drink. On Sunday, we had a lot of success in stopping by former investigators. Things are really starting to take-off in this area. Later that night we had an awesome lesson with a less-active member family (the same whose roof we helped with). They should be starting to come to church again. They are a very cool family though. Overall, this has been a good week, with many good lessons and other good missionary experiences. I hope you are all alright! Have a wonderful week!
