Fancy Napkins!!!

Last Monday, we had an opportunity to give a priesthood blessing to a family in our ward. That was a good experience. On Wednesday, Elder and Sister Gardner, who are a senior couple in our mission, came down to Elizabeth City and joined our companionship study and weekly planning session. They used to teach institute, but that was shifted from a mission calling to a stake calling, so instead of going home, they and our mission president decided and got necessary approval to pilot going around and helping each companionship in the mission with their studies and planning. If this turns out well, it may eventually move to all missions. On Thursday, we had a district meeting. The subject was family history. It went pretty well. For a pot-luck lunch afterward, I made four pizza loaves. They all tasted quite good and were enjoyed quite well. Later that day we had a lesson with someone who will be baptized in not too long a time. She is 9 years old and her mother and brother are members. Later that day we began the process of working with someone who was previously very close to baptism. On Friday, we had exchanges with the Currituck missionaries. Elder Joyner came and worked with me in Elizabeth City. Among those we met with that day, one guy gave us pebbles he got from the Sea of Galilee. Later that day we did some service for a recent convert. On Saturday, we helped with the set-up for a wedding reception at our building. Among doing that I gained some serious napkin folding skills. Later that evening, us and the Currituck elders attended the reception, as it was for someone in the Currituck Branch and we were invited. We were able to talk to a couple non-members while we were there. On Sunday, during church, we had a good meeting with the Stake High Counselor over missionary work. He is awesome, and having served as a mission president, he knows a lot about how missionary work goes. Later that day we were able to help one of our members with some hometeaching. Overall, this has been a wonderful week. We are looking forward to a lot of upcoming success. Have a wonderful week!
