Frog... Tastes Like Chicken!

On Monday, among things, I got ingredients for more pizza loaves, which I plan on making today. On Tuesday we had a good member lesson in which, after eating venison stew (pretty good), we did role-playing with members. For my first time yet I role-played in front of and was critiqued by members. It was good, but very interesting. On Wednesday we had dinner with Amber, one of our investigators, who made fried chicken. On Thursday our Branch Mission Leader took us to a place called Frog Island. Me and my companion both got the frog leg dinner. Frog actually tastes a lot like chicken. I would eat it again.

On Friday we had a good lesson with a new investigator. She baked us blueberry shortcake and sent us home with homemade pound cake and homemade strawberry jelly. After that we worked on our bikes a bit to use them and conserve some miles. My companion was cleaning dirt out of the gears and ended up pulling the wheel apart. Getting it back together was the difficult part, since the bearings wouldn't hold in place. We finally, after a long struggle, got it put back together. Later that day we did a bit of biking. On Saturday we also did a lot of biking. We biked a couple miles to the church, then back, then later a couple miles to another group of homes. It was exhausting, but good for me physically. That day, we also had a couple really good less-active lessons. One of them has a strong testimony of the gospel, but has had sad things happen by past priesthood authorities, which left emotional scars. We are hoping to help get her on the road to the healing which can come from the atonement. Yesterday, our branch president went over the new design of lds.org. It looks very useful and featureful. Later that night we had a lesson with a pretty cool family that reminds me a lot of my own family.

Regarding our investigators, they are doing well. This past week we have been able to teach many lessons and make much progress. We are hoping to have baptisms in the not-to-distant future. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!
