BALLOONS!!!

Not much of mention happened last Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesday we had another car fast. We did a lot of walking, then went to the trailer of the owner of many trailers in our trailer park and had a good little discussion. I suppose we shall see if any profit comes in the future. After a lot of walking, I resolved some complications with some of our appointments this week. On Thursday, I got my replacement name tag for the one that I had previously lost (then regained after the fact). On our way to transfers we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel. At transfers I got to talk to my last companion a bit. He is still in my last area doing some great work. Also, last week I said Elder Higgs was becoming companions with my last companion. Actually, my companion misheard on the phone. His new companion is Elder Binger. Now that I have the right spelling, my new companion is Elder DeMaggio. Since everyone asks him about it, ill just say, he is distantly related to Joe Dimaggio. Anyway, he is a good missionary. He is originally from around Seattle, Washington. I look forward to my service with him. Later Thursday night we had a good mormon.org lesson with a member, who has, apparently, now invited several others in the branch to make profiles. Thats pretty cool.

On Friday we stopped by a few people that are apparently more receptive that I was previously told. Later that night we had all three scheduled lessons fall through. On Saturday we did a lot of work in the less-worked, more country part of our area. Hopefully we should start seeing some benefits come from that soon. On Sunday we had a linger longer after church. My companion made brownies for that. There was a lot of good food. We also had a good lesson with a part-member family later that night. Yesterday we started out by doing a lot of cleaning and overhaul of the trailer. It looks much cleaner. We then went to the library, only to find that it was closed for Martin Luther King Jr Day. The trip wasn't in vain though. We still stopped by 7-11 and dealt with a few other things we needed to. After that we had some fun popping balloons in many creative ways (including by boiling water). We also sprayed permitherin in parts of the apartment. Later, we had a really good lesson with another member family. This week has been pretty good. I hope to have many more good weeks with my new companion.
