On Thursday we went to our President Drake's house, with President Carter present, for a dinner and such revolving around a Spanish holiday called Three Kings Day. The food was pretty good. In tradition, they had this thing called Three Kings Bread, which is a circular loaf of bread with candied fruits baked on top. They hid a little plastic baby inside the bread and whoever cuts the piece with it inside gets luck for the rest of the year and gets to throw a party on February 2nd. I was the first to cut a piece and I cut the piece with it inside, so apparently I get to party. After that we went on splits for about an hour. That was actually my first time on full splits. It was interesting. On Friday my companion cooked me pancakes and eggs for breakfast. That was pretty good. Later that morning we were picked up, a little bit late, to go to Zone Meeting. We made it right at the start though, so it wasn't a problem. The meeting was excellent. Following that we were taken, for my second time, to Cracker Barrel. I got, like last time, the Sunrise Sampler. It was pretty good. Later that night, as well as on Sunday night, we had some good mormon.org lessons. Its good to see that some of you have created profiles on the site. Its a wonderful tool. On Saturday, we were filling up on gas and a less-active member we have been working with jumped around our pump, in hopes of scaring us. My companion got a bit startled, but it didn't phase me that much. We set-up an appointment for that night. It was also snowing a little bit that morning, but it didn't stick. For dinner we went to Sonic. The foods good, but its so expensive (at least I think so). At our lesson with the less-active, he said that the reason he wanted us to come over is because strange things have been happening and he has felt an evil influence in his home. We explained what the course of action would be. Hopefully that comes to resolve.
On Sunday, church was pretty good. Also, two of our investigators were there, after a while of missing church. For lunch that day we cooked up pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Its not the healthiest choice, but it was good. Later that night we got transfer calls. My companion is going to Mechanicsville, where he started his mission, with my last companion, Elder Bangerter. I know that will be good for the both of them. It is inspired. My new companion will be Elder Demadgio or something (I don't yet know how to spell it, but Ill find out soon enough). He's apparently Italian. I look forward to this coming transfer. I love you all and know the gospel is true. It has such immense power to heal any affliction, change and entire life around, and carry the humble straight to the throne of God. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week.
