Ninja Time!

This past week has been pretty good. On Wednesday we had a lesson with one of our investigators wherein we discovered his biggest concern, which is hydrophobia. Just after that appointment we got a referral from a less-active nearby. On Thursday we had an excellent district meeting, which was entirely discussion based, rather than any 'trainings' or the like. After that we had a pot-luck district lunch. We brought a cake and stuffing. It was pretty good. On Friday we had sloppy joes for lunch, using both beef and deer meat. It has been far too long since I have had those. After that we had an awesome lesson with a new investigator, named TJ, who may soon be committed for baptism. Following that I got something notarized. In doing so I found that the person who works at our trailer park office does free notary.

On Saturday Morning I gave myself a needed haircut. Then, during lunch my companion made a ninja star out of a can lid. We had some fun with that. Later we were stopping by some potential investigators and we parked slightly in front of one of their neighbors house. When we were on the other side of the circle, the neighbor tracked us down and angrily told us never to go around there again, and then he tried to get a cop involved. Some people seem to really dislike people like us apparently. It doesn't hurt me any though, it just makes for some interesting experiences. We did find two new investigators though, which is awesome. Later that night, during dinner, I used supplies I got previously to make some nice nunchucks. I used a 36 inch pipe, 3/4 of an inch in diameter, 2mm thick, cut via a hacksaw, as well as various pieces for the joints and chain. After being made, they are quite nice.

Yesterday we had Stake Conference. It was very nice, and themed on building eternal families. After that my zone leader's got me my scale, which my family shipped to me. It is quite useful. Anyway, I am excited to do the work in this area with my new companion. We look forward to much success. Our current investigators are doing well and should hopefully start progressing faster.
