member. All those who tried them said they were very good. I thought
so as well. That night, we had the opportunity of teaching the
co-driver of the son of one of our members, who has recently started
trucking. The co-driver really felt the spirit when he was at Temple
Square in Salt Lake City a few weeks ago, then went to church there,
began reading the Book of Mormon, and has already gained a testimony
of it. The only difficulty with teaching and baptizing him will be
that he will only be here for a few days a month, when they are not
driving all over the country. On Tuesday, we had a really good lesson
with one of our Hispanic investigators at a Hispanic members house. On
Wednesday, we looked at a house that our Ward Mission Leader is
getting ready to rent. The missionaries here will probably move into
it shortly after I finish my mission. After that we had dinner with a
member and I installed Ubuntu Linux on one of their laptops that is
not working with Windows installed. On Thursday, we had a District
Meeting over in Currituck and had a potluck lunch afterward (which is
where two of my pies when). Later that day, we set-up tables and
chairs at the church for a funeral dinner. On Friday morning we helped
one of our members with cutting and fitting linoleum on his kitchen
floor. Later that day, we attended the funeral for one of our members
(the same one we gave a blessing to a week and a half ago). That night
we went to help out with setting-up the funeral dinner, then the
family (visiting from Utah) insisted we join in eating dinner with
them. We sat with some non-member relatives and should be starting to
teach them at some point soon. We also gave a blessing to one of them.
On Saturday, we were able to give a couple blessings (one to a member
and one to my companion, who is sick). On Sunday, we had some great
testimonies in church (the member relatives of the lady who
passed-away gave some strong testimonies). After church, we gave
another blessing to a member. Later that night, I had the opportunity
to do some computer repair for a member, who seems to have gotten a
virus that hides all the files on the system. I also seem to have
contracted a virus (likely from my companion). My weeks been pretty
good though.
