and investigators. That will be the end of my pie baking on my
mission. On Tuesday, I took my bike to a members house to enlist their
help in getting the other peddle off. Later that day we met with one
of our investigators parents, explained some things about the church,
and got the baptismal record filled out and signed. After that we
joined a non-member family for their Family Home Evening (which they
have adapted from the many members they know). It was a very enjoyable
experience. On Wednesday, we joined for Choir Practice at the church,
as the appointment we did fell through. After that we went with a
member to Dairy Queen, where we met with a less-active man he
home-teaches. On Thursday, we had a District Meeting on the subject of
parables, and they brought a pair of bowls to go along with it. After
the meeting, my companion went with the our District Leader to give a
blessing to a Currituck members child at the Albemarle Hospital. After
that we met for lunch at Arby's (which I haven't been to since the
beginning of my mission). On Friday, we had some sever weather. We
didn't have to deal with too much of it, as we were in appointments
and such all day. On Saturday, I got my bike frame back with the other
peddle removed. That night we had home-made Italian food at a members
house. It was very good. After dinner we went out with the member's
husband while he watered his chickens and roosters (which he probably
has 50 of). On Sunday, we had Stake Conference. It was broadcast from
Salt Lake to 46 stakes in this part of the country. Elder Scott gave a
really good talk about the sanctity of women. Bishop Burton also had
some really good words. After church, we started teaching one of our
members friends, which went really well. We also had a dinner and
lesson with one of our investigators at a members house. This week has
been very good. We have 3 people set to be baptized in the near future
and several others that will soon be set. I am really going to miss
full-time missionary work!
