decorations up into their attic. On Tuesday we had an opportunity to
participate in four priesthood blessings for a family in the ward. On
Thursday, among our weekly planning session, I got a call from the
mission office to confirm flight plans for when I go home. Its crazy
how long I have been on my mission. That night, we also learned that
our investigator who is preparing for baptism may have some opposition
from his mom. Any prayers on his and his moms behalf will be
appreciated. On Friday, we had interviews with our mission president.
Those went really well. It sounds like I will probably be staying in
Elizabeth City next transfer, but I will know for sure next week.
Later that day we helped one of our recent converts with some service.
We helped move his boxes of Christmas decorations from one part of his
attic to another. On Saturday, we visited a nursing home and got to
meet with a member that is doing a really good job at missionary work,
regardless of her circumstances. It was really neat to seek. Later
that day we had a member that speaks Spanish come with us to a lesson
to one of our Spanish speaking investigators. That was a very good
lesson. On Sunday we had four investigators at church. One of them was
a guy that called us this past week and said he wants to become a
member of the church. He is from Haiti, but got sent to the United
States after the earthquake. We also had two Spanish investigators at
church and our investigator that is preparing for baptism. We ended up
teaching Gospel Principles class on the fly, as the teacher wasn't
able to make it, but it worked out well. This week we were able to
exceed all of the goals we set in weekly-planning, but only because of
all the miracles we have seen. We have had a lot of good lessons.
Also, the members here have fed us for all but two lunches or dinners.
On Monday (yesterday), we got another referral. This area is seeing a
lot of success these days. As well, we made a gingerbread house
yesterday (which may be my first or second time ever doing that). I
hope you all have a wonderful week!
