Both Ends Of The Spectrum!
Last Tuesday, we had a good meeting with our Ward Mission Leader, wherein we presented and discussed some good ideas for the Ward Mission Plan. That day was also very cold. I think that night got down under 20 degrees (the coldest I think I have seen this year). Interestingly enough we had a record high for this time of year in Elizabeth City later in the week. On Wednesday, we went to Dragon Buffet with a few members that wanted to take us. Later in the day we had someone come by our apartment to try fixing the compressor for the heater, which seems to have stopped working a little while ago. We tried to find an entrance to the roof of the building, but never did. Later that day, however, he came back and fixed things. On Thursday, we had a really good lesson with an investigator and set him with a baptismal date of January 21st. That will likely be changing to the 20th though. On Friday, we had a really good Zone Meeting. Among that they introduced a new thing for us to keep track of in our weekly reporting. It is called 'Baptismal Covenant Invitations'. It is simply a count of either invitations for someone to be baptized, or for someone to renew their baptismal covenants. On Saturday, we went up to Franklin, VA, to see the baptism of someone my companion taught while he was serving in Wakefield. I got to see my companion from the Missionary Training Center for the first time in a while. The baptism was good. On Sunday, we had a wonderful fast and testimony meeting at church. There were quite a few non-members and visitors. After church we went home-teaching with a member. Later that night we had a really good lesson with a new investigator from Mexico. He is such an awesome guy. Other really cool lessons and miracles happened this week as well. Good things are happening. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
