The Cutting Edge
This week has been very interesting. On Tuesday, we had a very good lesson with one of our very long-time investigators. The member that came with us was very bold and helped her understand our big claim that our church is the only true church. I think it was very helpful. That night we had a very good lesson with our teenage investigator that's progressing toward baptism. He really understood the plan of salvation. On Wednesday, we helped a member family with a few things. Among that, I worked a bit on their kids laptops, removing ridiculous numbers of viruses, adware and spyware. On Thursday we had our Christmas Mission Conference in Virginia Beach. That was very good. I also got to catch-up with quite a few missionaries I haven't seen in a long time. I got a Virginia Richmond Mission t-shirt that one of the missionaries made. It looks pretty cool. On Friday, we went to a members house for a Christmas lunch. There, we gave a member a bunch of food we were given to pass on to a less-active family that needs it more than us. Later that night, we went to another members house for dinner and were given ties for Christmas. On Saturday morning, we went out to our car to start our day, but found, to much astonishment on our part, that during the night someone came into our parking garage and smashed in the drivers-side window on our locked car. Nothing was missing or misplaced in the car, but we called our mission leaders and reported it to the police. It will probably be midway through the coming week before we will be able to get it taken care of. So, on Saturday we did a lot of biking. That night we went to Christmas Eve dinner at a members house and were given a Christmas gift there. On Sunday, we had church for an hour, then went home and opened our presents, which we got more of at church. A member then picked us up for Christmas lunch. They also gave us a gift. We then got in contact with our families. This year we were given permission to use Skype to do such. So, instead of just a call, I got to see my family. The rest of my Christmas was good too. I hope you all had fun for Christmas. Remember what the season is about, Christ. Have a wonderful week!
