A Lot Alike!

Last Monday, Elder DeMaggio spent a lot of time packing for transfers. That night we had a dinner appointment wherein we did the cooking. Elder DeMaggio made some really good pizza and I made a Pine-Nanny Cake. The were both very good. On Tuesday morning, one of the missionaries in our district headed home, so his companion was dropped off with us. Due to that, we had two dinner appointments (one for each of our areas). That's alright though, we took small portions of each. That night we spent the night in Elizabeth City. During that time, we helped clean for the new missionary that was coming to the area. Also, I did some soldering and repair on their cars key-remote thing. On Wednesday morning, I also fixed a problem on the other Elder's Ipod, with the Gospel Library app. That day, we did a lot of service a one of their members houses. We cleaned and trimmed the grass in their back yard and weeded a flower bed. Among the stuff in the back yard, we found a fair-sized snake and dealt with it. That night, we accidentally left some important stuff behind at their apartment, so we orchestrated a way of retrieving it, even though the Elder that had them was on his way up to Richmond. On Thursday morning, I depleted our hot-water tank in cleaning dishes that hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. We then headed to transfers. My new companion is Elder Narramore. Ill talk more about him at the end of this entry. After transfers and my companion doing some unpacking, I started acquainting him with the area and the people. Between that night and the following days, I introduced him to a bunch of people. Thursday night I removed a detached tick head from my leg (I seem to be getting a lot of ticks these days). On Saturday, we did some good deep-cleaning, then had a good discussion with our Zone Leaders and a pot-luck lunch. That night we had a good lesson and some good service opportunity with someone we are trying to teach. We helped install some sprinkler head for a sprinkling system they are putting in. On Sunday, we had an excellent coordination with our Branch President, and his daughters boyfriend made me a copy of a DVD. Later that day, we helped out one of our investigators with some computer needs. This past week has been pretty good in general.

Now for some information about my companion. Elder Narramore is from Arizona, around Phoenix. He too is into computers and somewhat into programming. We are very similar in many other ways as well. We do seem to get along pretty well so far. Hopefully that continues. I am excited to work with him.

Have a wonderful week!
