Fish!
Last Monday, we had the opportunity to join a member family in fishing, it being part of their Family Home Evening. I caught a Blue Gill and Catfish. Both were too small to keep. Even though it wasn't too successful, the member gave us some fish they previously caught (I believe it is called Sheep Head). We fried that up for dinner. It was very good. On Tuesday we mowed our lawn again. I will be excited for winter, when the grass stops growing. Later that day we went to Elizabeth City and met up with the elders there. My companion when on his way to Virginia, for a meeting on Wednesday. I stayed with the Elizabeth City elders that night and Wednesday. For both nights we had multiple dinner appointments. That was really not the best for me. On Wednesday, we helped one of the recent converts in Elizabeth City get started on his family history. Later that night we picked up my companion and made our way back to Currituck. On Thursday, I made another Pine-Nanny Cake for our district meeting later that day. The recent convert from Elizabeth City attended that. I gave a training on the importance of members in missionary work. We also got portable DVD Players to use in our studies. After the meeting, we had a potluck lunch. Later that day, we helped a member with some problems they have been having with their computer. After that we went to Elizabeth City for a baptismal interview of one of their investigators. On Friday we went to Nags Head for a baptismal interview of two of their investigators. Our district is doing well. We currently have three set for baptism. That night I made another one of those cakes for one of the baptisms, but on Saturday, our investigator wasn't able to make the baptism, so we shared the cake with a member. I seem to be making a lot of those cakes. Everyone loves them. On Sunday one of our members gave their mission farewell talk. We had a few investigators at church, which was very exciting. One of which we had a lesson with that night and set for baptism. I am personally very excited for the miracles that are starting to happen in this area. Have a wonderful week!
