One-Derful (Whatever A Derful Is)
Last Monday, after we emailed, we headed up to a place called Buffalo Wildwings (basically a restaurant centered around chicken wings). My companion did the 'Blazin Challenge' (as I did in my last area). I love how for the challenge, they make the wings really hot temperature-wise, and they seem to coat the wings quite thick in the hot sauce. Anyway, I just got the other flavors of wings. My favorite was the Parmesan-Garlic flavor. On Tuesday, we had an excellent talk with our Branch President, in which we got some good things in the works that should help out the work here tremendously. On Wednesday, we had a good lesson with one of the people we have set for baptism. Later that day we had a good opportunity to begin working on a computer for one of our members. On Thursday, we had a good district meeting down at the Outer Banks. Afterward, we had a potluck lunch. On our way home, just for good measure, we got some Blizzards from Dairy Queen. Later that night we had a good lesson with someone, who became a new investigator, and we set her for baptism on the 20th of next month. On Friday, we did a lot of biking. Over the course of the day, we biked at least 20 miles. It was good though. Among that, we visited one of our members at the Currituck County Detention Center. On Saturday we made food (mashed potatoes and oatmeal cookies) for Sunday's Linger Longer. On Sunday, at church, we had a family show up that we might be able to start teaching soon. As well, during Sacrament Meeting, my companion gave a talk. We also had a good lesson with one of our investigators during the Gospel Principles class. She is really starting to progress towards future baptism. Anyway, it has been a good week. I am excited for what lies ahead for this area. I hope you are all doing well. Have a wonderful week!
