A Shout-Out To All The Mothers!

It was requested, by my family, that I continue the trend of making mention of food in my blogs, so here goes. On Monday I made some mashed potatoes in the manner that my family makes them back home, which is extraordinarily good, in my opinion. Both me and my companion thoroughly enjoyed them. On Tuesday we finished tracting the rest of our trailer park. We found some potentially interested people, so it was good. After that endeavor, our branch mission leader drove us down to work in an area that we rarely get to. On Wednesday, amongst getting gas, and seeing the atrocious prices, I furthered my desires to go with an electric car after my mission. Later that night, at our dinner appointment, we tried something very interesting called mayonnaise cake. Regardless of the intimations suggested by the name, it was quite good. On Thursday we did some long needed cleaning of our trailer, in preparation for inspection, in which we got the place looking better than even when I first arrived. Through the day, we put up two of the signs we were working, which advertise the wonderful site mormon.org. We put one in front of the church, and one in front of our branch presidents house. Later that night we had a dinner appointment with a member, in which we celebrated Cinquo De Mayo (im not sure of the exact spelling). Amongst a short soccer game before hand, I realized how much more I need to indulge in cardiovascular activity. Also, amongst the dinner appointment and lesson, we got assigned to give talks on Sunday. On Friday we had a Zone Meeting, which was very good. Afterward, the member that gave us a ride took us and the Elizabeth City elders to Cracker Barrel for lunch. On Saturday we had our trailer inspected. That went quite well. Later that night we headed down to he Outer Banks for my companion to interview one of the sisters investigators for baptism. That went well. He will be baptized on Friday the 13th. On Sunday, in church, me and my companion gave talks on the general topic of "Women in Zion". I largely pulled from the article in the March 2011 Ensign, by Elder and Sister Holland. The talk went quite well. After church we had a good Mothers Day lunch with our branch mission leader and his family and friends. Later that night I called home and had a good conversation with my family. I hope all you mothers and mothers-to-be had a wonderful day. Anyway, this week in general hasn't been the greatest week for appointments, as plenty fell through and some of our investigators are difficult to get in contact with. Nonetheless, all is well. Have a wonderful week!
