Here Again!!!

Now, due to an alternative request, I wont make it a point to include talk of food in my weekly blog, such as the homemade grape juice that I made last Monday (teehee). Anyway, last Monday I did finish the main reading in a book my mission president authorized me to read, called Articles of Faith. I will soon be done reading the notes included with the book, but it is a book that I would recommend to anyone. On Tuesday we had interviews with our mission president. Among things, I had further reaffirmed the trust he has in me and my companion. I also got some good answers to questions. Included was an encouragement from him to use my computer skills to provide service, such as computer repair. Later that day, we visited one of our investigators and helped him capture some of his dogs that he is donating to an animal shelter. They were quite fast tricky to capture. On Thursday we had our car fast. We spent the day biking a few miles north, to the next nearest conglomeration of housing aside from our trailer park and doing some work up there. On Friday night we had the opportunity to attend a baptism down on the Outer Banks in the Nags Head Ward. That service went very well. We had the opportunity of doing the missionary moment (a brief message just after the actual baptism), as requested by the sisters when we showed up at the baptism. On Saturday, among stopping by people, we heard something we never had before. Someone asked us if we had ever been asked about magnets before. They said that it seemed like a lot of people online posed the question of how we think magnets work. I found it very interesting. I have never had such a question posed to me before. Anyway, later that evening we had the opportunity to help one of our less-active members get the shed he was building prepared for the coming rain storm. On Sunday, during church, we had the opportunity to join the priest quorum and talk about how we use Preach My Gospel in our studies and in missionary work. That went fairly well. Later that night was transfer calls. Me and my companion are staying here for another six weeks, at least. There was really only one change in the district. This brings my time in this area to 9 months, a pretty significant part of my mission. I love the area though.

Due to request, I will make some mention of those we are teaching. We are teaching one lady, with an 11 year old son, who was first introduced to the church 30 or so years ago in Nevada and was subsequently found a year and a half ago by missionaries. She has learned a lot, believes what we teach, and basically considers herself a member, aside from the baptism. We are working to help her come to that point. Another of our investigators, that recently moved our of our area, has been investigating for a while and is also very close to baptism. The missionaries where she moved to have continued to teach her. She too basically believes the things we teach. As I have limited time, I will wrap it up here, but we are hoping to soon start seeing some wonderful things with this area.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and follow the wonderful gospel path that will bring the most happiness now and after this life, which will last beyond the bounds of any temporal happiness. Do what is right and you will most definitely be blessed. I love you all!
