Not A White Christmas, But A White Day After Christmas!

On Monday last week, I made, with the ingredients I already talked about, some sweet pizza loaves. Those were pretty good. Later that night we had a good lesson with my Branch President and his wife, about mormon.org. Speaking of which, my profile is finally up. You should all go take a look at it (though it is still fairly minimal). Anyway, after the awesome lesson, I talked with them a bit regarding programming and such. On Tuesday we did a lot of tracting. On Wednesday, for lunch, I used remaining pizza ingredients and made, as I choose to call it, sweet and sour rice. Then, I picked up a Christmas package from my grandma. Later that day we were driving and got a branch lodged under our car. Luckily it didn't do any damage, but it wouldn't come out until we actually got under the car and pulled it out. Later that day, in doing some finding, we ran across and interesting person. He claims to know all about our church, yet he twisted facts to try and make things sound ridiculous, then he kept affixing my spiritual witness and testimony to naught but mere likes and emotions. By the time I was finally able to end his rant, he had changed his view in no way. Still, I know what I know and can't deny the miracles and witnesses I have received. I am so grateful to have more than mere belief to bide the strongest illogical refutes.

On Thursday we headed up to Newport News for our Christmas Mission Conference. Between all the wonderful music, the truly inspired training, the great food, and reunion, it was a splendid occasion. Among things learned that day, our President cleared up for us that no authoritative source (prophet or apostle) ever claimed that the red-robed depiction of Christ was nearest to his actual looks. I found that interesting as I had always thought the contrariwise. Also, at the conference, I had some reunion with people I went to high school with, namely Elder Bradfield and Elder Capson. Its interesting to see them out here. At the end of the conference we got stockings and other items. Also, I got seasonal greetings from my Bishop and others back home. That was nice. Later that night we were able to teach our recent convert. Resultant of the holiday season, our summation of lessons this week was three. On Friday we just made a bunch of Christmas-related stop-by's, giving some of our investigators gifts. We went in early that night and I studied from the Doctrine and Covenants. On Saturday I opened my presents, which were wonderful. I also had the opportunity to call home and talk with my family and grandparents. We had two places to eat that day, for both lunch and dinner. That was good. We were also gifted laser-pens and food. Later that night I finished my reading of the Doctrine and Covenants. That is a wonderful book, and has become highly revered by me. I recommend it to everyone.

On Sunday, due to getting 8, or so, inches of snow, church was canceled for us. We ended up staying in all day and performing the sacrament in our trailer. Later that day I made brownies, which were good. On Monday we stayed in again. Among the highlights of the day, I disassembled the boom box my family gifted me and disconnected the radio. I also took down my Christmas tree.

Anyway, this week has been good. I hope it has been the same for all of you.
