Exhortation For Salvation

Last Monday we got a lot of meat from one of our investigators. We got a full rack of ribs and backbone from a deer he hunted. We should be cooking that this week. On Tuesday I had to sew a button (for the first time yet) back onto my coat. After that we had a good lesson with a now progressing investigator. Our Ward Mission Leader, brother Huggins, was present. After that he took us to Hardees for dinner and then took us to Food Lion and gave us a $100 cap. It ended up at $101.64, but we are well taken care of with food. Among things, I got candied pineapple, full sized mushrooms, and shrimp (very good). On Wednesday we had our monthly car fast. We did a lot of walking that day. My feet found sweet relief when we could drive again. As we were walking I found a run-over ipod. Later that night I dissected it. It might have worked, aside from a smashed screen and bent casing, but after I finished with it, it was beyond repair. That same night we had a lesson with a new investigator, Kathy, that went very well. She is sincerely interested and seeking answers.

On Thursday I got a belated birthday card from the mission office. It was pretty cool though. The theme was how us missionaries need a (sp-)air head. Later that day we did some service for our recent convert, Jacky. We cut up a bunch of fallen tree parts and trimmed another tree, then helped her trim her Christmas tree. That went well. On Friday we had an excellent Zone Meeting. The focus was, again, unity. I learned a lot. Also, I got to catch up with my past companion, Elder Gill, who just came to our zone from my first area. It was great. After that meeting, most of my district went to Dragon Buffet. It was good. A member of our branch, who apparently works there, paid for our food (not the rest of the districts though). Anyway, just as last time, we ate there free.

On Saturday we had a good talk with our district leader (aka table time). We then helped clean the building and set-up for church. Later that night we went to our stakes Christmas Night of Music. It was an excellent performance. Contrary to how it was back home, the refreshments were professionally catered. On Sunday, my previous district leader, Elder McIntire, and his family showed up at church (after going home from his mission). That was pretty cool. Also, members of our branch loaded us up with food. Later that day we had another mormon.org lesson, with a less-active member. It went pretty well. I also completed the necessary stuff for my profile. Now I merely await my profile being reviewed and it should become public. Actually I invite and exhort all of you to create profiles on mormon.org. It doesn't take long and it can make a huge impact. Do it! Lastly, today, in fact, right now, it is snowing again.
