Great Miracles Are Happening!

On Tuesday, as I recounted last week, we contacted our awesome referral. We have been able to have 4-5 lessons with her this week and she is set to be baptized on the 21st of September. That is awesome. She is making strides in the gospel. Later that night we attended the viewing of a member of the ward that passed away last Sunday. We attended his funeral on Thursday. After an excellent funeral, we were invited to join in the family lunch. On Friday, we had a Zone Meeting. One of our recent converts gave us a ride to that and attended the meeting with us. It was a very good thing for him. He thoroughly enjoyed it. After the meeting we went on exchanges with our Zone Leaders. One of them came back to Elizabeth City with me. That night we traveled to Currituck (my old area) and  had dinner with a member and their teenage granddaughter who is preparing for baptism (who I began teaching before leaving the area). We also taught her the last lesson she needs before baptism. The Zone Leader that was with me gave a baptismal interview. On Saturday we changed back to our regular companionships and, among the events of the day, I salvaged the pictures off of my companions broken SD card. On Sunday, our investigator thats preparing for baptism attended church. She really enjoyed it. Having been notified only a day before hand, me and Elder Mason taught the Gospel Doctrine class. We used that time to go over chapter 4 in Preach My Gospel (Recognizing the Spirit) and tie that into missionary work. We passed out a lot of pass-along cards to the many members that attended. It was a good lesson. We then joined in the Primary's Sharing Time. We shared things about our missions and invited the kids to also join in using pass-along cards and sharing the gospel. Anyway, this has been a very good week for missionary work. Many good things are happening in this area. I am very excited. I hope you all have a wonderful week! Sharing the gospel is an ensured way to find personal happiness. I would invite you all to join in this great work!
