Tech Support

On Monday, after emailing, we started using the new system for reporting to our mission president, which is an online system. I think its pretty cool. After emailing that day we went home and cut down a tree next to our trailer. Later that day we watched the videos 'Treasure in Heaven: The John Tanner Story', and 'Only a Stonecutter'. They were excellent. That night we had an awesome member lesson, which did a lot for the family we were teaching in regards to fully utilizing missionary opportunities. On Tuesday our Branch Mission Leader took us to Frog Island for lunch, then he went with us to a lesson with an investigator that has a lot of potential (which went very well). On Wednesday we had lunch with a potential investigator at a place called Mel's Diner. It was good food. He loves us coming by and talking with him, but we are hoping he will soften his heart to truly investigating the church. Later that day I was able to help a member find a better option in office suite, as alternative to paying hundreds of dollars for an expensive one.

On Thursday, for our Car Fast, we got picked up by our Branch Mission Leader and we helped him and his wife clean up her moms house, who recently passed. It was a large task and took a lot of the day, but it was good. After that, during lunch at their house, I was able to talk to someone over the phone and help them figure out how to rotate a picture they got in an email. Its interesting trying to explain such to someone that doesn't really know much about computers. It was good though. After that we went with our Branch Mission Leader to pick up a couch, donated to us to replace the one we had that was falling apart. After bringing that to our trailer, we did some massive cleaning work on it, then went to Dragon Buffet for dinner, to use a gift certificate from a member. After dinner, the member that works there gave us some take-out to go home with us. As we have tons of food already, we gave that to others in our district. On Friday we had our District Meeting, which went pretty well. After that we had a pot-luck lunch. I made (and over-prepared on) pasta salad for the event. It was good. After that, we went on exchanges with our Zone Leaders. I was with Elder Gill, my previous companion. Among the notable events of the day, I walked one of our investigators through uploading pictures to Facebook and we had a torrential downpour that lasted 1 & 1/2 hours.

On Saturday, we had two dinners. We stopped by one member and they insisted on feeding us hamburgers, knowing of our dinner appointment, so we did so. We then had our hobbit-like second dinner with a near-by member. Among the lesson, which included helping them make mormon.org profiles, I had the opportunity to fix his computer. I have been able to find more opportunities to use my talents lately. Hopefully such will continue. On Sunday, among visiting an investigator, we were playing with her kittens, wherein we found them infested with ticks, both new-born and full-grown. We cleaned ourselves off, but I kinda feel bad for the kittens. Later that night we watched, among eating dinner, 'Mountain of the Lord'. That too is a wonderful movie. That night we had a powerful thunderstorm make its way through our area. Anyway, it has been an interesting, but good week. I hope it has been such for all of you. Have a wonderful week!
