Tornados
Last Monday I picked up, from our branches library, Articles Of Faith and began reading it (as I got permission from my mission president). It is an excellent book and well lays out the doctrines. I am thoroughly enjoying it. On Tuesday I I gave myself a long needed haircut. That day was quite hot and sunny and then, in the late afternoon, we got a strong rainstorm. Later that night, for dinner, we made goose nuggets. They were quite good. On Wednesday, at a dinner appointment with a member, I helped them and a non-member get started on familysearch.org. On Thursday we stopped by and talked with our investigator who moved to Chesapeake, since they are still back and forth between houses. The missionaries up there have gotten in contact and she is still progressing well. On Friday we had a Zone Meeting, which was, as usual, very good. I also got, in the mail, a book my family ordered for me, called The Great Apostasy (as I got permission to read this book as well). On Saturday we went around to a lot of people from the area book that we haven't tried stopping by before, in our efforts to clean up the area book. Several weren't interested, several moved, many weren't home, but we did find some that were receptive. Later that night we had a crazy storm, that took all day to arrive. There was strong wind, much rain, and a lot of lightening. In fact, the lightening got to the point of happening multiple times a second for a good hour or two. There was a tornado watch, and in some places warning, but we didn't see any. Yesterday, however, we heard that a tornado touched down at the bottom of our area, in Harbinger, NC, and went across the Sound to Duck, NC. Anyway, it was an interesting storm, but we weren't privileged, or spared as some would say, the chance to see a tornado. Anyway, It was a good week over all. Lastly, this morning I got an awesome package from my family. I am excited to go through it.
