Year One!
On Monday we had a good dinner appointment with a family that has a genius of a kid. I can have a good discussion with him about Linux, C++ programming, and Operating System building, and hes only 11. On Tuesday we started having lessons over the phone with one of our investigators, since its difficult to meet with her in person (especially right now, since she is in the process of moving up to Virginia). The lessons are going well. Later that day, while we were at Food Lion, a guy came up to us and started talking with us. Hopefully we will be able to start teaching him. On Wednesday I tried something I haven't ever had before. I was introduced to Herbal Tea. It is very interesting, and certainly not what I was expecting. On Thursday, me and Elder DeMaggio hit our one year mark. The time just seems to fly by on a mission. On Friday we had an excellent Zone Meeting. I really enjoyed it. On the way home we dropped off some elders whose ride home abandoned them. On Saturday, during dinner, I made some peanut butter cookies. Ill need to make a lot more, especially considering our members have loaded us up with nearly 200 oz. of peanut butter. Yesterday, being fast Sunday, our members brought us plenty of food to church. Later last night we went to teach the family that just moved into the Branch, but they were grieving over and burying their cat that got hit by a car on Saturday night. As such, we provided some service and rescheduled for another day. Also yesterday, the rain was coming down in great abundance. There was also a tornado watch, but, as far as I am aware, there was just a lot of wind and rain. Anyway, I am doing well. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Remember to read your scriptures daily, pray daily, and go to church weekly, then you will be happy.
