This has been a great week for investigatorial progress.
On Monday, I went on exchanges with my district leaders step-trainee, Elder Lesueur. One displeasantry was my afflictive illness, which encumbered the experience with constant nasal congestion, and brought the nights sleep to a sum total of a little over 3 hours. Tuesday, aside from the effects of illness, was pretty good. Of experiences, I got to go to an appointment at the chiropractic office of a sister in my ward, Sister Degiorgio. She gives free appointments to missionaries. Anyway, apparently my back is in pretty good condition (she only had to put a few ribs in).
On Wednesday, I got to eat part of my pecan pie, which I haven't had in far too long. Later that day we got a referral from someone in our ward to pass on. Still though, its awesome when members have high-quality referrals to give. On Friday, we had Zone Meeting. That was pretty good. Our stake president shared an experience relating to his mission of a vision of the pre-mortal life and people that were and are waiting for him. It was pretty cool. After the meeting our district went, again, to Plaza Azteca for lunch. Later that night we visited someone whose house we were previously prompted to stop by. She is so ready and in need. On Saturday we talked to some, as I term them, Youth Church Salesman. We gave them a Book of Mormon and other literature, at their desiring. Later that night we helped our bishops family finish packing up to move and take down cabinets from their kitchen.
Sunday, or yesterday, was a super awesome day. Just before church, we got a call from a former investigator who said that he had read the Book of Mormon and wants to be baptized. He asked what he needed to do. We got him to church, which he really enjoyed, and we set him with a close date (October 30th). That pretty much made our day. On top of that, me and Elder Bangerter gave talks in sacrament meeting. I talked on Charity, which went pretty well. It was also the least rote talk I have ever given. Also, at church, we taught Gospel Principles, and went to the primary's missionary oriented sharing time. It was an awesome, yet tiring day at church. As things currently stand, we have 4 upcoming baptisms, and a lot of good work going in the area. I am way excited. We will be looking forward to a baptism this coming Thursday for Odell. Hopefully ill get to stick around one more transfer and see the fruit of all of our works.
Anyway, things are going well, and I am doing well. I look forward to the events of the coming week. Lives are changing, and the gospel is pushing forward tremendously.
