Ok, we got our transfer calls last night (a little after we engulfed our traditional slurpees). As so well put in the title, me and Elder Jones are staying. He will step-train me and become District Leader. Also, the Spanish elders are moving into our apartment. Lots of fun stuff will be going on with transfers throughout the district and zone. Sadly, we loose Elder Smith.
So, last Wednesday, we didn't end up going to Monticello. Instead we went to Smith's house and spent the rest of p-day with them. We played Settlers of Catan and I won (being my first time playing). I earned a fancy permanent place on the inside of the game box. Good times... good food... good fun!
We also got to give a blessing to another person at the hospital. I did the anointing this time.
Work with investigators, less-active members, etc. has been going quite well. Things are definitely progressing here. I look forward to seeing a few more baptisms this transfer (hopefully).
On Saturday we had interviews with President Millburn (such an inspired man). It went well. Its sad he will soon be going back home to Utah, but after my mission he wont be too far. I think he only has like one or so transfers left before he leaves.
Yesterday, me and Elder Jones split for the first time. It actually went pretty well. Me and Elder Bangerter found new investigators (even though our original appointment fell through). Its awesome.
Anyway, I am loving the mission. The ward here is so awesome (a lot of UVA students though). The elders here are also very awesome. And last, but the opposite of least, the church is indeed true.
