Gray In The Hairs And Growing A Cane

This week has been pretty good. Starting on Tuesday, I got a wonderful package from home. Among such, I got some good music to listen to. Later that day, while my companion was picking up his medication, I tested my blood pressure. It was, at that time, 116/81. It could probably be better. I should probably do more exercise and such. Anyway, I learned two new words, systolic and diastolic. On Wednesday we had our first monthly mission-wide car fast. We did A LOT of walking that day, until the fast ended at 5PM. It was good though. When we could use cars, I was driving down a street by the airport and went over a rabbit with the car. I feel awful. To make it worse, we were riding with a member the next night and did the same thing on another road. First it was that bird a while ago, but now this. I must be cursed or something.

On Thursday we had district meeting in Elizabeth City. That was pretty good. After that we had district lunch at Dragon Buffet. That was really good. I am starting to like certain kinds of sushi more and more. All that crab was quite good too. Anyway, after that, our district leader, Elder Valgardsen, joined our companionship for the day. That night we went to Jacky's house (our baptismal candidate) and he interviewed her for baptism. If all goes well, she should be baptized this Saturday. I would invite you all to pray for her to make this baptismal date.

On Saturday, we were going to have our trailer inspected, but the person wasn't able to do it. Hopefully later today though. That day, we were filling up on gas, but the pump was super lame. It would only give small spurts before stopping, so it took forever to get filled up. Later that day, we had a lesson with someone, whose wife's nephew was baptized by my district leader up in Virginia Beach. Hopefully something comes of him. That night I tried a fruit I got, called a red pommelo. It turned out being some kind of giant grapefruit. It wasn't that bad. On Sunday, we were doing some finding and at the last house we knocked on on a street, some guy almost immediately tried to give us a paper clipped 5 (or more) dollars. We, of course, couldn't accept, but it was interesting. He may potentially come of future profit. Lastly, last night we found a Russian Book of Mormon in our trailer. Ill have tons of fun with that.

So, things are going pretty well for me (especially with my birthday coming on Sunday the 21st - wow, I'm getting old). I love this gospel and the Lord. I am grateful for all that I have been blessed with. I thank you all for your support. I hope things go well for all of you. Have a great week!
