Time Flies

So, time seems to be going by way too fast. I still have so much to learn. My teaching can really use some improvement. Nevertheless, things are going well. We have gained a few new investigators. Im excited. The mission is awesome.

I don't know if any of you heard about the Gladys Knight fireside that happened just before I came to the mission, but it had a large turnout. It is hoped that many converts come from that. We only got 3 referrals from it (one of which isn't either a member or already being taught). Some places got as many as 70 or 80 referrals from it. Its definitely an awesome thing.

This week I had an awesome opportunity to give a blessing. Previously I had only done a couple anointings, but this past week I had the awesome opportunity to (oh so spontaneously) seal the anointing and give the blessing. It was great. It was for someone at the hospital. We were also able to talk to several other people at the hospital. Great stuff!

At our district meeting last week I was assigned to give a training. Though I was doubtful of my capability, it actually went really well. It was an awesome opportunity. After that, most of us headed to Cici's (pizza buffet). Good stuff.

On Monday I used my bike for the first time. I haven't even used a bike in years. On top of that I am way cardiovascularly out of shape. It was murder. I could barely stand up after going up the last hill to the apartment. Hopefully that improves. Nonetheless, I am grateful for cars. Cars are wonderful wonderful things.

Anyway, the work here is going well. I love this area. I don't know if its normal but a lot of people seem familiar (though I can't quite pinpoint why). Maybe its just part of the whole mission thing. Also, there are a lot of people here that once lived in Utah.

The gospel is sooooo true. Read your scriptures and pray with all sincerity and you can find that out for yourself. The Lord is awesome.
