Things are going pretty good. I certainly still have much need of improvement, but things are well. Virginia has brought some firsts for me. That includes random things like eating at Chic-Fil-A, Five Guys, tasting 1% milk, and eating a whole gallon of ice cream (well, im currently half way done).
I must needs mention that General Conference was AWESOME. I hope you all had the opportunity to watch it. There were some powerful talks on patience, love, and other godly attributes. I loved it. After the last session we had a baptism for a Chinese mother and daughter (very awesome people). The baptism was mixed English and Spanish (much translation occurred).
I must say, I really love the people here. The ward is way awesome. They are quite involved in the missionary work. The people in general are awesome too. This is a great place. I am glad I was called here.
After the food onslaught of the MTC, I expected to eat a lot less food out here, but I have been fed very well. The food is very good, but I probably should be a bit more sparing on my consumption.
Anyway, things are definitely going very awesomely. I am quite enjoying it. I just have some work to do with my teaching skills. Thanks for all your support. I know with a surety that the church is true. If you read the scriptures (especially the Book of Mormon) daily and pray with all sincerity, you will come to know the same for yourself. I know the Lord loves each of us.
PS Thanks mom and grandma for the great easter packages.... very tasty!!!
